The opportunity will bring much needed economic development opportunities to the region and more importantly provide real ways to positively impact the day to day lives of Carnarvon residents, through improved economic outcomes for the local community.

GGE anticipate that goods and services supply chains will be established for the development, construction and operations stages of the proposed Gascoyne Green Energy Boolathana project, which will follow the lifecycle of the project (30+ years).

The Gascoyne Green Energy Boolathana project is consistent with and an enabler of Diversify WA, the State’s economic development framework.  Energy is a key focus industry for the Western Australian government.  Its objective is to secure quality jobs (300,000 in the regions), grow and diversify the economy and attract investment to WA.

The State Government recognises that the private sector and proponents such as GGE, play a critical role in the State’s economic future.  To assist the private sector, the State Government provides the strategic foundations for economic growth to include provision of a stable regulatory environment, appropriate infrastructure and sound fiscal management [1]
